Question: What is a certified matrimonial law attorney?
Answer: Certified matrimonial law attorney is a designation granted by the New Jersey Supreme Court to attorneys who are able to demonstrate sufficient levels of experience, education, knowledge and skills in matrimonial law practice. The Supreme Court, through its Board on Attorney Certification, designates only those lawyers who apply for certification and who are able to meet the standards set by the Board and approved by the Court.
Of the 80,000 practicing attorneys in New Jersey, approximately 160 are Certified Matrimonial Attorneys, including our three partners.
With a practice dedicated solely to Family Law, our talented team of attorneys is adept at handling a broad range of legal family matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, division of assets, grandparents' rights, and domestic violence. The complexities of these matters can seem overwhelming, with the potential to paralyze you before you even begin. Fortunately, our attorneys have specialized in this area of practice in order to develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the nuances of these cases and ultimately, to ensure that you receive unparalleled legal representation through litigation, mediation, arbitration, negotiation, or any of the other legal avenues that you may choose to pursue.
